Frequently Asked Questions

When can I bring my puppy in?

We see puppies as soon as they are complete with their vaccinations. This is typically done around 4 to 6 months. It is important to get puppies acclimated to the grooming process at a young age.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Failure to do so will result in a charge of 50% of the service appointment. Repeat no shows or last-minute cancellations will result in termination.

What forms of payment do we accept?

We accept credit cards, checks, cash, Zelle and Venmo. Our Zelle can be looked up through our email: canine.castle.4362@gmail.com. Our Venmo is @caninecastle.

How long does an appointment take?

Appointment times can vary depending on the breed, size, coat length and condition, temperament and haircut style. We typically range from 2-3 hours for most appointments. Doodles and poodles can take upwards to 4-5 hours.

Do you have to shave my dog if they are matted?

Depending on the severity of the matting, we may have to shave your dog. Dematting is a long process and isn’t always the most humane treatment. If we can safely and humanely demat your dog, we charge $1/minute on top of the haircut or bath price.

Can you work on my dog if they are aggressive?

We can do our best to do what we can, but some dogs may have to be done at a dog groomer in a veterinarian’s office. Muzzles may need to be used and the haircut may not be to our typical standard. Working with sharp tools around your pet can be dangerous if they are moving or biting at them. Your dog’s safety and our groomers safety are our first concern.
